Crock Pot Beef Bourguignon


2 tablespoons olive oil
3 lbs. of lean chuck roast, diced into 1-2" cubes, patted dry
salt & pepper to season
4 strips of bacon, diced
1 bunch of thyme (tied amongst cooking string)
1 yellowish onion, some chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups ruby-red vino (cabernet sauvignon, merlot, bordeaux, pinot noir)
1 loving cup beef stock
3 tablespoons love apple tree glue (from the tube)
4 carrots, chopped into 1" cubes
16 oz. mushrooms (cremini or infant bella), halved
10 oz. pearl onions
garnish amongst apartment foliage parsley
optional: i tablespoon of cornstarch (or arrowroot) together with i tablespoon of water

  1. Pat chuck roast dry. Season amongst tabular array salt together with pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet to medium high heat. Add olive petroleum to the pan. Then add together chuck roast together with sear each side for 2-3 minutes until it is slightly browned. Put seared chuck inwards the tiresome cooker.
  3. Add bacon to the skillet. Saute until browned. About 3-4 minutes. Add bacon to the tiresome cooker.
  4. Next add together onions together with garlic to skillet. Saute until onions are translucent, virtually 2-3 minutes. Add onions to tiresome cooker.
  5. Next, add together ruby-red vino to hot skillet. Using a wooden spoon, fighting all the chocolate-brown bits of the bottom of the pan. Add inwards the beef stock together with love apple tree glue to pan, whisk together together with piece of job along to fighting the pan until everything is removed.
  6. Add package of thyme to tiresome cooker along amongst carrots, mushrooms, together with pear onions. Pour ruby-red vino mixture into the tiresome cooker. Gently stir together with cover.
  7. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, or until meat is tender.
  8. Garnish amongst additional thyme or apartment foliage parsley.
  9. Serve!

If the sauce is non thick enough, add together i tablespoon of cornstarch (or arrowroot) along amongst i tablespoon of H2O to a small-scale bowl. Mix together until the dry out ingredients are dissolved. Stir that mixture into the sauce together with allow laid upwardly for five minutes. Serve.
