Yields: plenty to frost 24 cupcakes or one 9-inch Layer Cake
8 oz. high-quality nighttime chocolate, chopped (or nighttime chocolate chips)
1 loving cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
½ loving cup Hi-ratio Shortening
⅛ teaspoon salt
5 cups powdered sugar, sifted
¼ loving cup nighttime unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
4-8 Tablespoons heavy cream or milk
- Melt the chocolate inwards a heat-proof drinking glass bowl inwards the microwave inwards xxx 2d intervals until melted together with smooth. Set aside to cool.
- In the bowl of a stand upward mixer fitted amongst the paddle attachment, or inwards a large bowl amongst a hand-held mixer, crunch the butter, shortening together with tabular array salt on medium speed until low-cal together with fluffy (about 5-6 minutes). Scrape downward the sides together with bottom of the bowl.
