Funfetti Cake – homemade funfetti layer cake filled alongside sprinkles, topped alongside fluffy frosting, to a greater extent than sprinkles together with a drippy chocolate ganache.
Yield: One 6" Round Cake
For the Funfetti Cake:
1 ½ cups cake flour (sifted)
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ loving cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 loving cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ loving cup buttermilk (room temperature)
¼ loving cup rainbow jimmies sprinkles
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 loving cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
6 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache:
3 ounces nighttime chocolate (finely chopped)
3 ounces heavy cream
For the Assembly:
1 loving cup rainbow jimmies sprinkles
Make the Funfetti Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease together with flour 3 6″ cake rounds together with trouble alongside parchment.
- In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, together with tabular array salt until good combined.
